About Wesam

Hi! My name is Wesam, I have a PhD in mathematics and have been teaching for over 10 years. As an educator, I love creating a deep understanding and appreciation for math in my students. I think of math not just as a collection of formulas and equations but as a way of thinking that can empower you to solve problems.

About the lesson

My approach is focused on creating a learning environment where students feel safe to explore, make mistakes, and ask questions without shame. Ultimately, my goal is to make mathematics fun and interesting by sharing with my students the passion that I feel towards math so that they can be engaged and excited about learning. I like taking a light-hearted and fun approach to the subjects so that everyone can feel a connection with math.

I encourage all my students to think critically about mathematical concepts, to connect abstract ideas to real-world examples, and to come up with their own solutions rather than simply copying me. That way, students see the relevance of what they are doing and can learn to be independent thinkers. I also offer comprehensive feedback on students' work to help them understand their mistakes and improve their performance.

I have experience teaching at all levels, from subjects like algebra and geometry all the way to university and graduate-level courses like calculus, differential equations, topology, abstract algebra, real analysis, group theory, vector analysis, etc

I’m happy to share my experience witnessing my wife’s remarkable improvement as a student of Professor Wesam. She’s graduating in Mathematics next semester, not only with a 4.0 GPA but also with an invitation from the department to serve as an ambassador for their math program.
