About Courtney
I have been working with students of all ages for the past 10 years. I graduated from Lakehead University in 2019 with my Bachelor of Education and Honours Bachelor of Fine Arts.
I have most recently been working as an early years teacher with an emphasis on literacy intervention and improvement.
My focus is on individual improvement and confidence and not about getting to specific place by specific time. Every student has their own individual needs and that is what I care about most.

Each student will be given an assessment at the beginning of my time working with them. This assessment is the same that is given to students throughout the school year.
This will help to individualize programming to help students of any ability work through what they need to in order to feel more confident in their reading and writing.
As an Early Years teacher myself, my focus is on individual improvement and helping students to understand what their learning versus just memorizing or remembering.
Using programs like UFLI to assist me each lesson will focus on a part of reading or writing.
This is perfect for students looking to continue work throughout the summer and to feel better prepared for the upcoming school year.
