About Makaita Nicole

Hi there! I’m Nicole, a part-time tutor with a strong academic background in mathematics. I’m currently in my third year of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at the University of Johannesburg, where I’ve consistently excelled in my studies. I am fluent in the English and Shona languages. Having achieved an A grade in both O and A level Mathematics and three “Best in Mathematics” awards, I’m passionate about guiding students to achieve excellence. I know the subject can seem challenging, but with the right support and a little encouragement, I believe anyone is capable of excelling!

I’ve successfully tutored high school students before, helping them improve their understanding, boost their grades, and build confidence in mathematics. I do my best to take the time to understand each student’s unique learning style and challenges, tailoring my lessons to meet their specific needs, while also bringing both expertise and enthusiasm to my lessons. I break down complex concepts into simple, manageable steps, ensuring that students not only learn but also enjoy the process!

Hi! I’m Nicole, a third-year Electrical and Electronics student at the University of Johannesburg, here to make maths both fun and approachable for you. Having achieved an A grade in both O and A level Mathematics and three “Best in Mathematics” awards, I’m passionate about guiding students to achieve excellence. I know the subject can seem challenging, but with the right support and a little encouragement, I believe anyone is capable of excelling!

My lessons are unique to each student’s needs, and I do my best to adapt to different learning styles, ensuring every student finds an approach that works for them. My lessons are also highly interactive, using real-world examples and practical applications to make learning engaging and relatable. I also incorporate problem-solving strategies to boost students' confidence. I encourage active participation, guiding students through exercises and providing immediate feedback.

I offer lessons in the English language. My lessons are tailored for high school students of all grades. Whether you’re aiming to improve your grades, build a strong math foundation, or excel in the various mathematical topics, I’m here to help!
