About Andrej
I have prepared gifted high school students for Physics competitions for 2 years at a local institution, and both of the generations produced outstanding results I have 7 years of experience as a private tutor, and I've worked at a British international school, as well as provided tutoring services to US-based charter schools (mostly elementary school mathematics), which gave me some pedagogical background.

As a private tutor I encourage my students to lead the way by identifying areas where they want to improve themselves. After I get a baseline for the student's competence in said areas, I'm very good at identifying the core problem which is stunting their progress. When I've done that, I give homework and require my students to practice outside of the classes - this is very important to me! I'll sometimes give problems from lower-level topics that are required for pursuing the topic the student WANTS to learn about. This can feel boring and frustrating, but as the saying goes: we must learn to walk before we can run! I give fair and honest reviews, and expect the same from my students. Learning is a process, and I want to know your satisfaction and feelings at all times. It will not always be fun or engaging - and that's okay! Feel free to ask "why" at any time, and hopefully I'll be able to explain the method behind my approach. If you think it's not working - Let me know! We can and should always talk about the efficacy of instruction and ways to improve. Whether you're looking to prepare for a competition, your A-levels, AP Physics/Math, or you just have some holes in your understanding that you want to fill then my tutoring services are meant for you.
