About Nyla

I am an enthusiastic Flute tutor with over 11 years of teaching experience, teaching School students, College students, and working professionals who want to develop strong flute skills. My tutoring approach is simple, structured, and student-friendly, with focus on correct breathing, posture, finger technique, tone quality, rhythm control, and musical expression.

Along with flute lessons, I teach music theory, sight reading, rhythm training, scale practice, ear training, and performance skills. I also help students prepare for exams and performances. My goal is to help students gain confidence, improve steadily, and enjoy learning music.

About the lesson

My flute teaching methodology emphasises communication, creativity, and flexibility to provide a complete and enjoyable learning experience. I explain flute techniques in simple language and provide demonstrations so students can learn effectively. I encourage students to communicate freely, ask questions, and share their challenges, creating a supportive and positive learning environment.

Creativity is a key part of my lessons, with exercises, warm-ups, rhythm practice, tone development activities, improvisation, and expressive musical pieces to keep learning fun and engaging. Lessons are flexible and personalised to match each student’s level, goals, and learning style.

Flute instruction includes breathing control, posture, embouchure, finger technique, articulation, scales, rhythm, and sight reading. In addition to flute, I teach related subjects such as music theory, ear training, rhythm training, note reading, and performance preparation to help students grow into confident and versatile musicians.
