About Emily
My name is Emily, and I am an elementary education teacher located in Connecticut. I have spent my entire professional life working with children from ages 0-10. I started in a daycare center, working with pre-school children using a learning-through-play curriculum. I then became a private nanny where I was responsible for teaching the children how to read, write, and develop number sense. Throughout the past few years, I have been in the public education system working with grades K-4. During this time, I also worked as a para professional which allowed me to engage with children of all ability levels.
In my free time, I love spending quality time with family and taking my dog on fun adventures! I’m a spirited traveler who loves to learn about new cultures and explore everything the world has to offer.

Differentiation is one of the most important aspects of education. My lessons are catered to each child’s individual needs in order to use their strengths to build on their weaknesses. My lessons center around phonics, letter recognition, fluency, and phonetic awareness. My lessons are engaging and build interest through using games and other fun strategies to get your child to develop a greater love for learning. I also can assist in mathematics and can share tools to help children that be if it from a wide range of learning styles. My goal is for my lessons to be a platform for your child’s educational growth!
