About Leah
I have been teaching general reading and writing to fifth grade students for the last four years and have found multiple ways to guide students to proficiency in these areas. The greatest challenge is ensuring learners are ready for the next grade level, so I look ahead at upcoming grade levels and focus on teaching skills that will serve learners well as they move forward.

Reading and writing is not easy, but there are some tricks to help you develop these skills! I love finding new and exciting ways to engage students while developing comprehension and fluency in reading, or foundational writing skills. Lessons run in mini-lessons with two 15-minute lessons, and two 20 minute practice sessions with individualized support.
