About Sofie
Hi! I am an elementary teacher right outside the city of Chicago. I graduated from North Park University with my elementary education license. I love working with kids and there is something so awesome when they have the "lightbulb" moment and everything clicks! Also I grew up in Colorado, so other hobbies of mine include camping, hiking, skiing, and cooking. I would love to work with you!

A tutoring session with me would begin with an interactive warm up for the subject we will focus on for the day. Then throughout the session, I will use the I do, we do, you do model. This gives the child the opportunity to learn, practice with me, and demonstrate mastery. I close sessions with a game or opportunity for extended learning. From there, I provide ways to continue what we learned at home.
