About Zora

With over a 12 years of experience as a piano tutor, I have taught students of all ages and backgrounds, from beginners to advanced learners and working professionals. My teaching philosophy emphasises patience, encouragement, and individualised instruction to help students grow at their own pace.

I have guided students through recitals, competitions, and graded exams, helping them achieve personal milestones and build confidence.

Lessons focus on technique, sight-reading, music theory, improvisation, and expressive playing, with a strong emphasis on creativity and musical exploration. I strive to make learning piano a fun, rewarding, and inspiring journey that develops both skill and a lifelong love for music.

About the lesson

My teaching style emphasises compassion, understanding, and positive reinforcement. I aim to create a learning environment where students feel encouraged, valued, and motivated to learn. In piano lessons, I focus on technical skill, rhythm, music reading, and creative expression, combining structured exercises with pieces that engage and inspire.

I maintain open communication, answering questions clearly, providing constructive feedback, and encouraging students to share their ideas and goals. Supportiveness is central—I celebrate achievements, guide students patiently through challenges, and help them build confidence.

This approach also applies to other subjects I teach, such as music theory, composition, and ear training. My goal is to create a nurturing environment that fosters skill, creativity, and a lasting passion for music.
