About Max
I'm Max Ellenberg, a competitive high school shot put and hammer throw athlete with a deep passion for the sport and a commitment to helping the next generation of throwers succeed. I know firsthand how challenging—and rewarding—throwing can be, and I want to share what I've learned from years of training, competing, and refining my technique. As someone who has worked to improve my strength, footwork, and mindset, I understand what it takes to break through plateaus and reach new personal bests. My coaching is personal, structured, and built around the individual needs of each athlete, whether you're just starting or pushing for college recruitment. I focus on technical precision, explosive power, and competition strategy, using a mix of drills, strength training, and video analysis to help my athletes improve. Most importantly, I'm here as a mentor and supporter who truly cares about helping you gain confidence, throw farther, and achieve your goals in shot put and hammer throw.

I am Max Ellenberg, a competitive high school shot put and hammer throw athlete with national weight throw rankings dedicated to helping the next generation of throwers reach their full potential. With years of experience in strength training, technical development, and competition preparation, I understand what it takes to excel in throwing. My coaching approach focuses on refining technique, building explosive strength, and enhancing competition performance through fundamental drills, video analysis, strength and conditioning, and mental preparation. Each session is tailored to the athlete’s skill level, whether beginners looking to build a strong foundation or advanced throwers aiming for college recruitment and personal bests. I aim to share my knowledge, passion, and experience to help young athletes develop confidence, improve their skills, and dominate in the shot put and hammer throw.
