About Wren

Hi, I'm Wren! I hold a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry Education (B.S.) from Emory University in Atlanta — a top-twenty US research university with an outstanding chemistry and biochemistry program closely connected to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention right on its doorstep. That proximity to real-world science shaped my deeply career-connected approach to chemistry education. I have 6 years teaching chemistry from middle school through college freshman year through online one-on-one sessions. My "future career chemistry" method transforms unmotivated chemistry students into genuinely engaged ones because suddenly the subject connects directly to their personal ambitions and future goals. I have helped many students earn AP scores of 4 or 5. I was honored with the Chemistry Career Connection Award by the Georgia Science Teachers Association for my uniquely career-anchored approach to chemistry instruction. Chemistry is not just a school subject — it is the foundation of some of the most exciting and important careers on earth, and my lessons make sure every student knows exactly which ones.

About the lesson

Hi! I offer career-connected, clear, and personalized online one-on-one live chemistry lessons for K-12, high school, college first-year, and bachelor's first-year students. My lessons cover General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry, Electrochemistry, Food Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Stoichiometry, Atomic Structure, Chemical Bonding, Acids and Bases, Thermochemistry, Chemical Kinetics, Nuclear Chemistry, and Lab Writing Skills. My completely new method is "future career chemistry" — I connect every major chemistry topic to three real careers that use it daily, from pharmacists using organic chemistry to environmental engineers using electrochemistry to nutritionists using food chemistry. Students who know where chemistry leads study it with completely different motivation. Sessions fully online and tailored to your goals.
