About Blair

With 7 years of experience working as a singing tutor, I have had the privilege of teaching 150–200 students and helping them grow as confident, expressive singers. I believe in the power of personalized learning and make it a priority to tailor each lesson to match the student’s unique vocal qualities, artistic interests, and long-term aspirations. This individualized approach ensures that every learner progresses in a way that feels natural and fulfilling. My lessons emphasize crucial vocal techniques such as breath support, resonance, pitch accuracy, tonal stability, vocal strength, and emotional depth. Students train in a wide variety of genres including classical, pop, Western contemporary, devotional, and cinematic styles. I also incorporate exercises in ear-training, rhythm accuracy, and basic theory to build complete musical competence. A unique skill I bring to my teaching is my ability to help students overcome fear and embrace their voice with confidence. I guide learners through expressive techniques, performance dynamics, and stage presence to ensure they are comfortable and self-assured during recitals, competitions, and auditions. My teaching methodology, guided by Motivation, Communication, Integrity, and Creativity (MCIC), is designed to help students achieve technical mastery, expressive performance, and stage readiness. I focus on motivation, helping students set clear goals, celebrate progress, and maintain disciplined, consistent practice.

Communication creates a supportive, interactive space where students can ask questions, share ideas, and receive personalized feedback on tone, pitch, phrasing, breath control, dynamics, and emotional expression. Integrity ensures honest guidance, structured practice, and a professional, respectful learning environment.

Creativity encourages students to explore musical styles, improvise, and develop a unique, authentic voice. I also integrate lessons in music theory, rhythm, ear training, stage presence, and performance techniques, providing a comprehensive musical foundation.

Beyond singing, I guide students in emotional storytelling, audience engagement, overcoming performance anxiety, and recording skills, preparing them for both stage and studio experiences. Each lesson is carefully tailored to the student’s skill level, goals, and interests, combining structured exercises, interactive practice, performance simulations, and real-time feedback.

This approach strengthens technical skills, expressive ability, confidence, and artistry while fostering a lifelong passion for music and performance.
