About Elizabeth
I am a dedicated Guitar tutor with 5 years of experience and a strong record of teaching over 150 students from beginner to advanced levels. My teaching focuses on building a solid musical foundation while encouraging students to explore their own style and creativity. I believe in making guitar learning an inspiring and low-pressure journey, so I adapt each lesson to match the student’s pace and comfort. I guide learners through essential techniques such as chord transitions, rhythm training, scales, and fingerstyle using step-by-step explanations that simplify even the most challenging concepts. I also integrate song-based learning and basic theory to keep lessons engaging and meaningful. One of my unique strengths is helping students improve their confidence by breaking down obstacles into small, achievable tasks. My teaching methodology for Guitar is based on Adaptation to Learning Styles, Flexibility, Collaboration, and Positivity. I start by understanding each student’s preferred learning method—whether they grasp concepts faster through visuals like chord charts, step-by-step demonstrations, or repetitive practice. This helps me build lessons that match their comfort level and speed.
Flexibility plays a key role in my classes. I adjust lessons according to the student’s progress. If they struggle with finger placement, chord transitions, or rhythm patterns, I break the concept into smaller steps and add supportive exercises. If they advance quickly, I introduce new techniques such as basic lead guitar, strumming variations, or scale patterns to keep them challenged and excited.
Collaboration helps students stay invested in their musical journey. I encourage them to share their goals, favorite music styles, and the songs they want to play. Together, we choose practice material that keeps them motivated while building strong technique.
Positivity guides every class. I believe learning the guitar should be an enjoyable and encouraging experience. I highlight progress, give supportive feedback, and help students develop confidence through consistent practice. This positive approach helps them stay relaxed, curious, and motivated.
Along with Guitar, I can also teach related subjects such as basic music theory, rhythm development, and ear training. My aim is to guide students through a musical journey that builds skill, confidence, and creativity.
