About Marina
I would like to teach because too often when I was studying for my GCSEs I would come across teachers who seemed so uninterested and lacklustre that I had no interest in the subject they were teaching, making it far harder to learn the content and sit exams. Being a student myself, I consider myself a relatable person and I can empathise with the struggles of preparing for exams.People find me an engaging person and I am very articulate about my thoughts and thought processes. Therefore, I am a natural teacher and I enjoy seeing the satisfaction on students' faces when they finally understand something they have been unsure of for so long.

My teaching style is interactive and engaging, as I understand that the key to exceeding academically is internalising information. For example, once you understand the reasons behind a calculation or analysis, it is far easier to understand and remember. I put a huge emphasis on knowing how to solve the formulated puzzles that are exam questions; knowledge will only get you so far. It is crucial to understand how to go about answering an exam question.
My lessons involve going over the basics of a topic to ensure understanding, then teaching and explaining the topic, followed by completing practise questions, and repeating until students can recall the information and answer exam questions to a high quality. I tailor my teaching style to the student's learning style for optimal results.
My aim is for students to discover their potential and understand what they are learning so they can achieve their best. Being a student myself, I consider myself a relatable person who can interact well with people.
