About Valerie
For as long as I can remember, I have read books. As a kid, I would sit up in bed with a small stack of books every night before bed! Even now, reading brings me peace. My love for literacy has elevated my education and life in every way! Now nearly graduating with university degrees in Engineering and Arts, I feel it's about time I share the knowledge that has given me so much in my life. My hope is to help spark a love for words in young people so that they can discover just how much is at their fingertips.

When it comes to speaking and writing, it can be quite daunting if it isn't necessarily a strength (yet). My approach to teaching takes a gentle but active one, focusing on articulating your thoughts first through imaginative, clear thinking and then on enhancement of writing and speech. We will always cover the fundmentals first in a way that suits the student, before moving onto practical work. You will see and feel your progress as we go along. Lessons will take 45 mins to 1 hour. My focus is on senior primary or junior secondary students (aged 10-15).
