About PAARTHAN
Hi, I'm Paarthan! I'm an engineering graduate from India, now living in Dublin and studying for a Master's degree in Business Analytics at UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School.
I grew up speaking Tamil, Hindi and English, so I know first-hand what it takes to master English as well as the small things that make it confusing. That experience makes me a patient tutor who can explain grammar, spelling and vocabulary in a clear and simple way.
Communication has always been a big part of my life. I founded and led a technology community in Chennai with thousands of members, where I hosted events, gave talks, wrote content and helped beginners grow in confidence. I have also helped organise large Google DevFest conferences. My work in internships and now in postgraduate study involves a lot of reading, writing reports and presenting, which I bring into my lessons.
I love teaching because I enjoy seeing people go from hesitant to confident, whether it is a child reading their first chapter book or an adult speaking up in a meeting. I am friendly, reliable and encouraging, and I adapt every lesson to your pace, interests and goals. I'd be glad to help you or your child improve!

My English lessons are friendly, patient and tailored to each learner. In the first session I find out your level, goals and what you find difficult, then build a clear plan together.
A typical 1-hour lesson mixes short explanations with lots of practice: reading aloud and discussing a text, building vocabulary, grammar and spelling exercises, and speaking or writing activities. Younger learners enjoy games, stories and phonics-based reading practice, while older students and adults focus on comprehension, essay and email writing, pronunciation and confident everyday conversation.
I can help with:
- Reading and literacy for children (primary level)
- Spelling, grammar and punctuation
- School English homework and exam preparation
- Conversational English and fluency for adults and international students
- Writing skills: essays, reports, CVs and cover letters
I give simple feedback after every lesson and small practice tasks so you can see your progress week by week. As someone who learned English alongside Tamil and Hindi, and now studies at a Master's level in Dublin, I understand the challenges learners face and how to make them easier.
