About Sim
Two years ago,I arrived “late and sweaty” to my interview at a video production studio with headquarters in Malaysia.
With a background in chemical engineering, I didn’t exactly have a lot of video-related experiences to boast about in my interview.
But after a year of research work, I had decided that science and academia weren’t for me. So, when a friend introduced the company to me, I took a leap of faith.
It’s clear that I have come a long way from my days of having no experience in the video industry.
Since joining the team, he has worked on major projects such as Balenciaga, all of which are well-known AAA cash clients, which generally means it’s a high-budget, high-profile client.
I want to bring the video industry into the mainstream. Malaysia has a small but passionate talent pool of artists, designers, and other roles required for the video industry, but in the public’s eye this still is not seen as a ‘serious’ career.”
