My teaching approach depends on the subject.
For math and sciences, I typically go over the general lesson lecture before spending time with the student on how to solve problems and understand the applications.
For college essay writing, I start by giving an overview on how to approach writing and answering the prompts. From that point, I can edit essays on a shared document or meet with them virtually to go over every essay and the ideas together.
