About Mark

I’m a Civil & Structural Engineering student with a strong academic record, including achieving 100% in my university mathematics modules. I tutor GCSE, A-Level, and first-year university maths with a clear, structured approach that helps students understand the “why” behind each method.
I’m patient, calm, and good at breaking complex ideas into simple steps. Whether you’re aiming to boost your grades, prepare for exams, or build confidence, I can guide you through the topics at your pace.

About the lesson

About My Lessons
I teach in a relaxed, friendly way that helps students feel comfortable asking questions. My goal is to make maths feel less stressful and more manageable, no matter your starting point.
Lessons are personalised to your needs, but usually follow a simple structure:
- Understand the problem
- Break it into small steps
- Build confidence through guided practice
- Apply it to exam-style questions
I’m patient, clear, and good at explaining tricky ideas in a way that finally “clicks”.

Perfect! Amiable and great communication!

Mark's response
Dan was engaged and willing to learn. He had a great attitude to the lesson. Good core understanding — he showed solid foundations in several key GCSE topics, which allowed us to move quickly into more applied questions.

Areas to improve
Confidence under pressure — he sometimes hesitates even when he knows the method. With more practice, this will improve naturally.
Consistency across topics — some areas are strong, others need reinforcement. A structured plan will help balance this out.
