About Doorva
Hi! I'm Doorva, a tutor who works with students from elementary through high school levels. As an undergraduate student in engineering, I've completed a computer science major and am pursuing a second major in electrical engineering. I have experience tutoring through Microsoft's TakeLessons, where I helped students with math, chemistry, programming languages, computer science, and SAT & ACT prep. Having worked with learners aged 7 to 50+, I specialize in creative problem-solving and explaining concepts from multiple angles to improve understanding and test scores.

My lessons are designed to make math more approachable by breaking down confusing concepts from multiple perspectives. I focus on guiding students through the problems they find most challenging, helping them not only solve the exercises but also understand the reasoning behind each step.
To make the most of our time together, I ask that students share their problem set or topics in advance—this way, I can prepare clear explanations and tailored strategies.
I tutor math at all levels up through Calculus I & II (high school level), and I welcome students of all ages who want to strengthen their skills, build confidence, and gain a deeper understanding of mathematics.
