About Oyinkan
My decision to teach comes from a genuine interest in helping others develop confidence in how they express themselves. Throughout my career in creative writing and production across English, fashion, film, and music, I have seen how important clear communication and strong writing skills are, not just academically, but in shaping ideas and opportunities.
Much of my professional experience involves developing content, refining written materials, and translating complex ideas into clear, engaging narratives. This has naturally led me to support others in improving their writing, whether through structuring essays, developing creative concepts, or strengthening their overall communication skills.
I bring a professional, patient, and structured approach to each session, ensuring that students feel supported while being challenged to improve. My background also allows me to offer practical, real-world insight alongside technical guidance, which helps students understand not just how to write, but how to communicate effectively with purpose and confidence.
Ultimately, my aim is to create a learning environment where students feel encouraged, capable, and equipped with skills they can apply both academically and beyond.

Each lesson is structured around the individual’s goals. For academic students, this may include essay planning, structure, and critical writing techniques. For creatives and professionals, I focus on clarity, tone, storytelling, and effective communication. I combine technical guidance, such as grammar, structure, and editing, with applied exercises so students can immediately practise and implement what they learn.
My teaching approach centres on essay planning and storytelling across different forms, helping students structure ideas clearly while developing their own voice. This is informed by my professional experience in film and music video production, where creative writing is essential for treatments and concept development, and where I regularly translate complex ideas into clear, accessible content.
Lessons typically last 45 minutes to one hour and are tailored to each student’s needs.
