About Hanna
I am a native of California who has lived in the north and northeast of Brazil for the past several years. I am a dancer, educator and a student of life forever. I studied anthropology at university and I have a master's degree in environmental science and management. I worked for some years with sanitation, using permaculture techniques, and spent several years working as an experiential educator in "cross-cultural" education. Today, I study dance, teach classical ballet, give English conversation classes, and work with translation as well.

My classes are really designed with each particular student in mind. I am most accustomed to offering conversation classes because most of my students already have some experience with English; hence, our classes are composed of building sentences, sharing ideas through dialogue, and always feature the introduction of new words to expand one's vocabulary. I try to adapt to the needs of each student so that the themes of our conversations are compatible with their interests. I often will use music and video in particular for in-person classes) and ideally, we speak only English. :)
