About Robert
I have been teaching ESP and EAP for over 40 years in a variety of locations and different universities, incl. Sheffield, Oslo, Zurich, GUST (Kuwait) and NEU (Hanoi), among others.
My lessons are both guided by the specific requirements of university courses programmes and they are personalized to meet the needs of students. These two factors are fundamental to ensuring individual students utilize resources, build general and academic communicative competence and in addition, focus on the overall goal of developing strong personal academic competence. I believe having a clear ‘road map’, ensures students maximize their potential, builds competence and confidence to navigate academic requirements, such as; seminars, presentations, writing essays, etc
