About Sahaana

I'm Sahaana, and I have just graduated with a Bachelor's degree in English. I love the subject so much, and I really enjoy teaching it! I speak Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, and some Kannada, so I'll be happy to explain in those languages as well. I want more people to enjoy literature and the English language the way I do, and I think teaching young people is a great way to do that!

About the lesson

We live in a world where subjects are divided for learning, but I believe that learning any subject should be interdisciplinary and fun. I use history, geography, science, social science and even math, to teach English!

I believe that embodying and understanding texts, even if they are from a very different context is important for young students to understand literature.

I will focus on creating context, storytelling, and explaining the importance of studying literature in today's world.

I am passionate about language, linguistics and grammar, and use games, repetition and logic to teach it. Along with rules, exposure to film and reading improves one's understanding of a language's syntax.

Excellent! I had a good initial experience with the tutor. Her teaching approach is effective, and she explains concepts clearly, especially for corporate English communication.

However, over time there were some challenges with scheduling consistency and changes in session preferences (location and fees), which made it difficult to continue smoothly.

Overall, she is a knowledgeable tutor, and with more consistency and clarity in scheduling, the learning experience can be even better.
