About Ava
I have a genuine love for English literature and writing, with a particular appreciation for the way stories, language, and ideas can be interpreted from different perspectives. I’m dependable, patient, and attentive, and I take pride in creating a welcoming space where students feel comfortable sharing their ideas and asking questions.
I understand that English can sometimes feel subjective or overwhelming, especially when it comes to essays and literary analysis. I aim to make the process feel more manageable while encouraging students to trust their own interpretations and develop confidence in their abilities. Above all, I approach tutoring with professionalism, kindness, and a sincere desire to help each student succeed.

My approach to tutoring is patient, encouraging, and tailored to each student’s individual needs. I focus primarily on English literature, reading comprehension, essay writing, creative writing, and literary analysis. Rather than simply providing answers, I help students strengthen their ability to interpret texts, develop original ideas, and express those ideas clearly and confidently in their writing.
Lessons are shaped around each student’s goals and may include analyzing literature, brainstorming and outlining essays, strengthening arguments, revising drafts, or developing grammar and writing skills. I strive to create a comfortable, judgment-free environment where students can ask questions and discover their own voice as writers. My lessons are ideal for middle school, high school, and college students looking for support in English and literature courses or anyone hoping to become a stronger, more confident writer.
