English Tutor – GCSE & Primary to Secondary Support About Me Hi! I'm a friendly, approachable English tutor with a passion for helping students build confidence and achieve their best. I hold an A Level in English and have experience supporting learners from primary school right through to GCSE level. Being a younger tutor, I bring a relatable and relaxed energy to my sessions, making learning feel less intimidating and more engaging—especially for students who might find English a bit overwhelming. My Teaching Style I tailor every lesson to the student. My goal is to help them not just understand English, but actually enjoy it. Whether we’re working on exam prep, reading comprehension, essay writing, or grammar, I always aim to: -Break things down clearly and simply -Use interactive methods to keep students engaged -Build strong foundations in reading, writing, and analysis -Work through past papers and practice questions -Encourage critical thinking and independent ideas I know how important it is for students to feel heard and supported, so I create a space where they can ask questions, make mistakes, and grow without pressure. Lesson Length Lessons are typically 1 hour long, with the option to adjust depending on the student’s age, needs, and goals. Who I Teach I offer tutoring for: Primary students – building core reading and writing skills Key Stage 3 students – preparing for the transition to GCSEs GCSE students (Years 10–11) – English Language and Literature Support for essay writing, comprehension, vocabulary, and exam technique Whether your child needs to catch up, prepare for exams, or just gain more confidence in English, I’m here to help with a friendly, tailored approach.
