About Jamie
Hello! I study at the University of Victoria. I have always been passionate about stories and the power of language. Books have been a source of comfort and inspiration for me, and I enjoy sharing that with others.
My enthusiasm for teaching was ignited by an amazing English teacher I had in high school, who demonstrated how powerful language can be in shaping our lives and experiences. Now, my greatest joy comes from helping students discover their own love for stories—whether in books, writing, or in the everyday experiences we live through.

As a tutor, I believe in a learner-centered approach where each student’s unique needs and abilities shape the direction of our lessons. The lesson wraps up with a short reflection, where students can share what they’ve learned and areas they want to improve.
