About Farissa

I am a Foundation in Social Sciences student at Universiti Malaya with a strong interest in English, History, and the social sciences. Having recently completed secondary school and progressed into higher education, I understand the challenges students face when learning new concepts and preparing for examinations.

My teaching style is friendly, patient, and adaptable. I believe students learn best when they feel comfortable asking questions, so I focus on creating a supportive environment where they can build confidence and improve at their own pace. Rather than relying solely on memorization, I help students understand concepts clearly and apply them effectively.

I offer lessons in English and History for primary and secondary school students. Classes are tailored to each student's needs and can focus on strengthening fundamentals, improving academic performance, developing writing and comprehension skills, or preparing for examinations. Each lesson typically lasts between 60 and 90 minutes.

Beyond academics, I have experience working in large teams, leading projects, and communicating with people from diverse backgrounds. These experiences have strengthened my leadership, organization, and interpersonal skills, which I bring into every lesson to make learning both effective and enjoyable.

About the lesson

I aim to create an engaging and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and expressing their ideas. For English, I focus on improving grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, writing, and communication skills through interactive exercises and practical examples. For History, I emphasize understanding key events, concepts, and historical significance rather than memorizing textbook facts, helping students develop critical thinking and analytical skills.

My teaching approach is student-centered and adaptable to each learner's needs. Lessons typically include concept explanations, guided practice, discussions, and review activities to reinforce understanding and build confidence.

As a Foundation in Social Sciences student at Universiti Malaya, I have developed strong academic, communication, and leadership skills through coursework, presentations, and collaborative projects. I am passionate about helping students improve their understanding of subjects and achieve their academic goals.
