I am originally from Wales and have been living in Edinburgh for six years. I love teaching. I enjoy the communication, passing on knowledge and helping people. I am a very laid-back teacher. I allow the student to guide as it is your ambitions we're trying to achieve.

The best way for you to learn is for me to make things specific. The best way for me to do that is understand you and what you need. After having an initial meeting I will be able to drawn up a personal teaching plan where we will work towards achieving your goals.
My lessons are 50 minutes long and I can teach language students from the intermediate level and literature/language students from GCSE level.
I have a CELTA, an MA in Writing and a BA (with Hons) in English. I have experience helping students with their business skills, grammar, day-to-day conversation, reading, literature, idioms, etc.
In 2021, I was a recipient of a New Writers Award from the Scottish Book Trust. My debut poetry pamphlet, 'empire of dirt', a Poetry Book Society spring selection, was published by Red Squirrel Press in 2019. My second pamphlet, based on a true story, will be published in November 2022 with Fourteen Publishing.
My work has been featured at Poetry Wales, Butcher’s Dog, fourteen poems, The Amsterdam Quarterly, And Other Poems, Ink Sweat & Tears, The Stockholm Review, The Glasgow Review of Books, among others.
