About Sienna
I have a masters in English Language Arts. I taught a seventh-grade English Language class for three months. During that time, I introduced brand-new lesson plans with related rubrics, and hands-on work involving poetry writing, fencing information and customized assignments tailored to the interests of individual students.

I begin teaching a new student by giving a proficiency test. Once I have established what they know and need to know, a lesson plan is established that scaffolds learning in a related manner. Rubrics are given for each completed assignment that target what exactly the main points of study are. Customization of how the lesson is taught is consistent, as students who are interested in the subject at hand tend to do better overall. Practice tests are given at the end of each unit, mimicking as best possible the real ones a student will be expected to pass later on. I will also assign 'homework' of my own when teaching, ensuring comprehension and utilizing kinetic, oral and written work as much as possible.
