About Laura
Hello!
My name is Laura, I'm an EFL teacher based in Cork, Ireland. I've been teaching English since 2019, here in Ireland but also abroad in Italy and Portugal. I currently live in Cork city, where I teach online to students from all over the world in addition to working part-time in an art gallery.
I'm very creative, passionate and empathetic. I love meeting new people, which is probably one of the reasons I love teaching so much! I see teaching (and learning) as a collaborative, two-way interaction, and it's important to me that my students feel comfortable with me. I have quite a relaxed and friendly approach that emphasizes fluency and communication over endless grammar exercises (although these are sometimes necessary!), but I always encourage my students to strive for a high level of accuracy.
