About Angus
I am a highly motivated, competent, and enthusiastic person who enjoys sharing knowledge with others. I have a particular passion for English Literature, which I studied to graduate level at the University of Oxford.
My personal desire to tutor stems from an enjoyment of intelligent discussion on interesting topics, something I believe students at every level are able to provide. I am also motivated by the personal satisfaction of being involved with educational development, whether it be getting students to understand the Pythagoras theorem, improving someone's ability to write an essay well, or encouraging people to think independently on the motivations of Shakespeare's tragic heroes.

I have a hands-on, responsive tutoring style and always try to integrate a students' desired outcomes into the wider goal of passing exams. This involves actively discussing areas of interest that can be developed alongside the expectations of exam boards.
Previous experience includes over 20 hours tutoring pupils across a range of topics up to GCSE, with a particular focus on the Core Subjects of English Language and Maths. In addition to A-level lessons in English and History I am also able to provide students of this age with feedback on university applications or assist with interview preparation.
I am comfortable teaching English and History to students from ages 8-18. I can teach Maths to a Level 9 GCSE standard.
