About Charlotte
I am an 19 year old student, currently studying English at The University of Birmingham, going into my second year after achieving a 2:1 in my first. I am new to private tutoring but have experience working with children at libraries and within my secondary school.
Although limited experience, I enjoy tutoring others to help them reach their full potential, aiming to achieve both the necessary grade and to increase confidence with the subject.
I will focus on improving exam technique and understanding of the subject, helping students to gain a more in depth grasp of the topics. I have achieved A* at both GCSE and A-Level English Literature, with full marks in both my AS and A2 exams.
I believe I can pass on my study skills and exam preparation techniques to students at secondary level, sixth form/college level or lower, aiding subject learning and teaching good study habits to younger children.
I am more than happy to help students gain deeper understanding of particularly difficult areas, whether it be in preparation of an exam or a piece of coursework.

Prizes and Scholarships :
I was awarded the 'Marshall Prize for English Literature' in Year 13 at The Hertfordshire and Essex High School, for being the outstanding student in that subject.
Other Qualifications :
When in Sixth Form at The Hertfordshire and Essex High School I was asked, as part of a Teach First programme, to assist one teacher in class once a week with younger students. This was an English class teaching Year 7s.
