My tutoring approach is student-led, focused on building essay skills, confidence, and deep textual understanding. I tailor each session to suit the learner’s goals - whether that’s mastering exam technique, unpacking complex themes, or exploring wider literary context. I use guided questioning, active discussion, and model answers to develop analytical thinking. Lessons are typically 60 minutes, (but at request can be shorter or longer) including a mix of close reading, discussion, and timed practice. I have 5 years+ of experience tutoring students aged 10–18 in English Literature, specialising in GCSE and A-Level.
