About Christine
I have taught students from Ukraine, Russia, India and Korea, as well as English-speaking people who want to better their use of the English language. It is imperative that the classroom should be a friendly and safe environment, where everyone feels comfortable learning. Facial yoga ultimately leaves everyone with the giggles, which relieves any tension anyone might have. There is no judgment, only like-minded people learning together. In the past, I have witnessed students helping each other, as some struggle with an area more than others. That occurrence is the most amazing and rewarding to see.

I use a varied methodology to teach, dependent upon the age and current skill set of a student or students. Phonetics is highly used to help with enunciation. I also utilize facial yoga to strengthen muscles that are often not used for certain languages. Typically, I use elementary school readers for students who are first starting on an English language journey. English is a complex language to learn, so I prefer to start students off easily, so as not to overwhelm them. Students will all read lines, then paragraphs and during which, there will be as much discussion (even sign language if necessary), to give context.
