About Emma-Jane
As your tutor, I want to accompany you in the best possible way, by learning about your problem areas and getting to know you and your preferred style of learning. I love interacting with people; I have waitressing experience, tutoring English, Afrikaans, and teaching Drama. I have loved teaching and working with children of various ages and I am an experienced babysitter too. I am diligent and enjoy getting invested in new projects. I am a theatre performer at heart and love languages, accent work, literature and music. I am looking forward to building wholesome, respectful connections with my students, where they feel understood and met right where they are at.

A typical lesson with me will include reading, writing, and conversational segments because practical application is the best way to build confidence and positive thinking around new subject matter. My lessons are aimed at people of all ages, from all walks of life, who want to grow in their confidence, pronunciation, and understanding. I also welcome students looking for exam and test preparations, or assistance with homework. It is crucial that my learners feel heard, understood, and safe. And while discipline and focus are essential, I want my lessons to be something they look forward to!
