About Cheyenne
Hello, my name is Cheyenne, and I'm a senior at Georgia State University! I've always been a firm believer in the magic of words—how they can make us laugh, cry, or stay up until 3 a.m. reading just one more chapter. I’m passionate about helping students feel confident in their writing and reading skills—because I truly believe everyone has a voice worth developing. My background in English and my experience as a tutor have taught me that sometimes, all a student needs is the right kind of support, a bit of patience, and someone who actually listens. That’s where I come in! When I’m not tutoring, you can find me nose-deep in a novel, curating playlists that match the mood of my current favorite book, or debating anime theories like my GPA depends on it. I bring that same enthusiasm into every lesson—because I believe learning should never be boring. Let’s make your goals happen, one page at a time.

So what will my lessons be like?
Well, in a few words: Relaxed, flexible, efficient, and fun. When it comes to teaching methods and techniques, I want to create an environment where my students are comfortable and have topics geared towards them so they can progress, as writers and readers.
The way I teach is based on the students' abilities and the goals they want to accomplish for writing techniques and reading comprehension. It affects how I ask questions and how I structure what to focus on. I think the issue with students and English composition comes from believing they are bad writers or readers, which is not the case. Or just another factor altogether, they truly don't understand the concepts. But I like to believe there is no such thing! Because, like all things, it's about nurturing your craft, and writing and reading are no exception.
As for who the lessons are for, I want to work with students at any stage of their academic journey, whether to work on grammar skills, polish an essay, or simply gain confidence in their writing and reading skills. I specialize in English Literature, essay writing, and reading comprehension, tailoring to academic and personal goals. I bring empathy, patience, and adaptability to every session. Because my goal is not just to improve your grades but to help you feel empowered in your relationship with language. So, I'm here to make sure that growth happens at your pace, in your style, with your voice at the center.
