About Lucia
I grew up in Miami, FL, with a passion for learning Spanish as it was all around me in my living spaces and ingrained in the city of my hometown. As I am currently qualified for UF's upper level Spanish classes, I feel comfortable helping students in lower level Spanish classes (Intermediate II and lower) complete their homework with full comprehension and pass all of their exams with high scores.
In regards to my background in English, I got a 5 on the AP English Language exam and a 4 on the AP Literature exam in high school, demonstrating my proficiency in literary analysis and writing skills. I can help high school students prepare for these exams and I am also confident in teaching college students in English as I am currently taking upper level English classes myself.

- My English & Spanish lessons are for college / high school level students.
- My math lessons are for elementary to middle school students- I use a firm but gentle teaching approach that encourages the student to explore problem solving for themselves because I believe hands-on experience is the best teacher.
- I will correct students after a full-effort attempt at a homework problem and follow up with a similar problem to test their understanding.
- Spaced repetition and exposure to different problem types is essential in becoming comfortable with a new topic, so this is also implemented in study lessons.
