About Brenda
I’m a non-native English speaker who is obsessed with the language; I’ve been learning it for over 20 years and teaching it since 2020.
Apart from English, I also teach yoga and love traveling. If you check my resume, you’ll find a wide range of experience in the private sector, along with some significant travel gaps.
I started teaching English online to help people not only improve specific technical skills but also gain the confidence to achieve their goals.

My classes are goal oriented, on the first meeting we talk about what your objectives are and try to define your level ( My student's level goes from Beginners to B2).
I usually adapt my lessons to the student's needs/goals but a typical class may look something like this:
- Language spoken is English but if you're a native Spanish/Portuguese speaker I can also give feedback in your own language.
- We start with easy questions to set the mood and then decide on a topic for the day to discuss or practice. For example: if you're preparing for a job interview we work with some classic interview questions to practice and then you'll get my feedback on your answers.
- Suggested homework: my classes are for adults so I know sometimes you don't have enough time but practice is key so you'll always get a suggestion from me to do some practice in between classes.
