About Carly
I am an English student teacher, and I've studied English literature in-depth for over four years. I have four years of one-on-one tutoring experience, and I've taught (including student-teaching), over two hundred students.
My students have received high marks on their essays, have been accepted into their academic programs and jobs, and have improved their writing abilities.

My teaching foundation is based on creating a safe and respectful environment in which my students, of all writing abilities, feel comfortable in sharing their ideas, their struggles, and their pieces of writing.
Regarding my techniques of instruction, taking a detailed and thorough approach to writing is important. Rather than tackling an essay head-on, it's important to break it down and organize one's thoughts before putting it all together.
