Im sure you will find that you get a wide range of answers to this question. People get into the education field for different reasons and have many different motivations which inspire them to continue. I am interested in the uniqueness of every student and looking for ways to communicate with them in a manner that is effective for them. When that happens, it is rewarding. And while these 3 components of being interesting, effective and rewarding can all work together, it is important to recognize that they often do not and that is normal. For example, a person can teach in a way that is interesting but not effective.
