About Ann
I’ve spent many years teaching English, writing, and literature at the middle school, high school, and college levels. I became a teacher because I love helping students discover that they can communicate clearly and confidently, and that their ideas matter.
With an MA in English, an MEd, and Texas Teacher Certification, I focus on helping students strengthen their writing, think more critically, and develop their own voice. Teaching allows me to share my love of language while helping learners feel capable, supported, and proud of their progress.

During a typical session, we review your ideas or draft, strengthen structure and clarity, and work through revision strategies you can use independently. I explain the reasoning behind each suggestion so you build lasting writing skills, not just a one‑time fix.
Every lesson is tailored to your goals, level, and needs. My aim is to help you feel confident in your writing and equipped with practical tools you can use for future assignments.
