About Sinalo
Hello! My name is Sinalo, and I'm a TEFL-certified English teacher from South Africa. I began tutoring while I was still in high school, and over the years I've taught kindergarten learners, high school students, adults, and online learners.
As someone who speaks five languages—isiXhosa, English, Afrikaans, Sesotho, and Dutch—I understand the challenges of learning a new language. My lessons are engaging, supportive, and tailored to each student's goals, with a strong focus on building confidence and improving communication skills.

My teaching methodology is learner-centred and communicative. I focus on creating engaging, interactive lessons where students actively use English rather than simply memorising it. I believe in scaffolding new language by starting with clear presentation, followed by guided practice, and then giving students opportunities to use the language independently. I incorporate visual aids, games, role-play, storytelling, and real-life situations to make learning meaningful and enjoyable. I also adapt my lessons to suit each student's age, proficiency level, and learning style while providing positive reinforcement to help build confidence.
