About Mariana

Hi! My name is Mariana and I have worked with young children, teens, and adults to help accomplish their language and homework goals. I have been a college tutor and Teaching Assistant for 2 years, and have worked as a daycare teaching assistant for 3 years. I love to help others and have taken multiple courses to help me advance my teaching and tutoring skills.

About the lesson

I evaluate what the student is struggling with and then work with the student according to their needs. I work with students from first grade to higher education.

Homework: we will go over the instructions together and I will ask questions to get an idea of the part the student struggles with. (this can be reading, writing, etc.)

Proofreading: I will go section by section with the student, suggesting any needed corrections and explaining as to why it was suggested

Conversations: Student should give me an idea of where in the language they are at and what they are struggling most with when conversing with someone. I will give topics as to what the conversation might lead onto so the student is comfortable talking.

Resume building: We will go step by step in what should go into a professional resume and proofread the resume as we go.
