About Beatrice
I have tutored over 100 children in Maths and English generally between the ages of 5 and 15. The abilities of these children was really varied, but the main thing which enabled me to help them was keeping up their motivation.

I am a student in my 3rd year of my English Literature and History of Art degree at the University of Edinburgh. Having struggled with dyslexia at school, I initially thought I would not be able to study English Literature, but I have found methods of learning which I would love to share with other students through tutoring.
I am friendly and chatty and would love to be able to give structured help and advice to others. I am willing to try and help anyone, whether it be 11+, GCSEs, A-Levels, or just a general helping hand to anyone struggling at school.
I find the best approach to teaching is to asses the key issues the student is having, and work in backwards and forwards conversation in order to address difficulties. I also think that setting goals is key to any progression, so setting weekly goals will also be a key method to my teaching.
