About Ora

Hey everyone! I’m Oratilwe, and I’ll be your English tutor!

Now, I know that when you hear the word “English,” you might immediately think of essays, comprehension tests, grammar rules and lots of writing — but I’m here to show you that English doesn’t have to be stressful or boring!

English is actually one of my favourite subjects, especially creative writing and essay writing. I achieved almost 90% for my English year average and 47/50 (94%) for my essay and creative writing, and I’d love to help you achieve your own goals too.

What I enjoy most about teaching is that amazing moment when something finally “clicks” for a student. I love taking something that seems confusing and breaking it down into simple steps that actually make sense.

In our lessons, you can expect me to be patient, encouraging and — hopefully — make English a little more enjoyable! You can ask as many questions as you need, make mistakes, and try new ideas. There’s no pressure to be perfect — we’re here to learn and improve together.

So, whether you want to improve your marks, write better essays, become more confident with creative writing, or simply understand English a little better, I’ve got you!

I can’t wait to meet you and see what we can achieve together!

About the lesson

I am confident that I would be an effective English Home Language tutor due to my strong academic performance and passion for the subject. I achieved an overall year average of almost 90% in English, demonstrating my consistent understanding and proficiency across different areas of the curriculum.

I am particularly confident in written communication, having achieved 47/50 (94%) for my essay and creative writing. This reflects my ability to structure and develop ideas effectively, use appropriate language and vocabulary, communicate clearly, and write creatively.

As a tutor, I would aim to create a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing their skills. I would use my own knowledge and experience to help learners strengthen their grammar, comprehension, essay writing, creative writing and overall confidence in English. I am also patient, responsible and willing to adapt my teaching approach to suit each learner’s individual needs.
