About Gabriella

I am a 17-year-old girl in Canada, brought up with immersion French for 11 continuous years. I love eating, socializing, learning and physical activity. I also work as a French and math tutor both at school and at home, helping others develop their French abilities. I understand the difficulties that come along with learning a new language, and I look forward to sharing my experience and passion with others. Be it starting from scratch or improving your French skills, I am here to guide you through it and make learning enjoyable and rewarding.

About the lesson

I would say I am the perfect tutor for you because of my unique combination of experience, passion, and personalized approach to teaching. I have a very strong foundation in all aspects of the language such as reading, writing, speaking, and cultural understanding, having spent 11 years in French immersion, which I am eager to pass on. My teaching style is all about balance along with creating a supportive and interactive environment. I tailor lessons to each student's needs, mixing conversational practice with grammar and vocabulary drills, real-life scenarios, and cultural insights. I also integrate creative activities such as games, role-playing, and even French music or media to make learning fun and memorable which will make the student more involved. A typical lesson would include a brief revision of the previous session, besides having a small talk in French, so as to build up confidence. Later, the explanation of the core lesson itself would focus on particular skills like grammar, vocabulary, or pronunciation through examples, practice exercises, and discussions. I always have some interactive practice, like a role-play, discussion of brief texts or even French songs taken from everyday life, wrapping it up with summary and homework-assigned fun work-relevant paragraph writing, for example-or new phrases and idiomatic sayings to be mastered. What sets me aside from other tutors is that I understand how challenging yet rewarding learning French can be, so I create lessons that are not just educational but also inspiring. I bring energy, patience, and creativity to every session, ensuring that my students feel confident and motivated to keep improving.
