I would first ask the student if they know a little about the topic we are discussing. most of the time they do not know, which is fine. Explain them critically, and then take a little test right away.
I always use visual aids, never a blackboard or boring signs. The classes always pretty chill, and being friends with students is what makes them learn in an efficient manner in the first place.
Anyone willing to work on their English on any aspect can take classes from me.
