Katherine is a very passionate instructor who only wants the best for her students. She is an excellent public speaker and is extremely knowledgeable on the subject.

Katherine, or Dr. C as I call her, is one of the most inspiring teachers I have ever met. As a student in her speech class, I have seen the great amount of patience she showed to us as we prepared and delivered our first speeches. Whenever a mistake was made, she would calmly and without judgement point it out. Whenever we would do something well, she highlighted it in front of the entire class. After completing her course, I was her embedded tutor for a few more classes. Her energy and upbeat attitude inspired students who previously had no care for public speaking. Through her guidance, I have seen students who were deathly afraid of going up to speak turn into excellent speakers. This last semester in particular, one student openly expressed how much he enjoyed class, highlighting the effect Dr. C has on others. By taking Dr. C's class, you are guaranteed to receive a top-notch instructor who will undoubtedly help you grow as a communicator. Dr. C knows her material extremely well, and she will take you very far.

She is determined to allow students to gather information to understand the material. Katherine Culliver's teaching style varies in different formats, where technology, group work, and demonstrator/ coach come in place. Actively listen in her class because every moment is a lesson, regardless of the outcomes. When she grades, students may think it's not easy; however, take the time to focus on the format and grammar, and please be clear and concise. It will help students write better. Trust me.
