About Austin
Over the past decade I have gained extensive experience of teaching at different levels to a variety of students, from under 16s to adult learners.
As a TEFL tutor for the past seven years I have taught exam preparation for FCE and IELTS as well as writing skills, drama and pronunciation to many different nationalities. In addition to this, I have also taught English at GCSE level, Film and Media at AS and A-Level and creative writing and screenwriting workshops on degree courses at the Arts University Bournemouth. I also have experience teaching with learning difficulties as I used to teach a writing and film making course at Film Oxford to people with autism.

Whoever I’m teaching, I always strive to make sure my lessons are creative, accessible and cater for the needs of the learner. I love finding ways to overcome any barriers my students may have to learning and very much take huge satisfaction in seeing them progress with their studies.
As a professional writer and former journalist, I specialise in helping students with their writing skills, punctuation and grammar. I’m happy to travel to teach and am flexible with my hours.
